Finding Lancaster hotels (meaning any sleeping accommodation) is easy, there are hundreds to choose from. The hard part is finding the best ones in the category of your choice: Moderate to expensive hotels and motels; Less expensive hotels and motels; Bed and Breakfasts; or Camping and cabins.

In this and the accompanying two pages I’ve attempted to whittle the choices down to the best in each category by using data and information available on a variety of web sites. I hope my efforts are useful, but please remember two things. First, Joan and I have not spent a single night in any of the places we’re recommending here, it’s all based on analyzing other people’s and other site’s comments. Second, as hard as I’ve tried, the processes I used are far from scientific. By definition opinions are exactly that, and data sources vary widely in how they collect and interpret information. The bad news is that you should not take our recommendations as anything like perfect; they only provide a place to start when you do your own research. The good news is that, as far as I can tell, all the information used on the various sources are reviews by people who have actually used the particular hotel/motel, B & B, campground, or cottage.
