Fine Dining.
Our best dining experiences.

There are more fine dining restaurants in Lancaster County than visitors might expect. In fact, there are more recommended restaurants in this category than any of the others. Without further fanfare and in alphabetic order, they are:

Accomac Inn, 6330 River Drive, Wrightsville. Phone: 252-1521. Comments: This isn't in Lancaster County, but very close by and right over the bridge on Route 30, in York County. It's listed here because it's been on everyone's "Excellent" list for a long time. Its menu is varied and it has received too many awards to list. Accomac Inn

Belvedere Inn, 402 N. Queen Street, Lancaster. Phone: 394-2422. Varied menu.(RC) Belvedere Inn

El Serrano, 2151 Columbia Avenue, Lancaster. Phone: 397-6191. This is really three separate restaurants in one, all specializing in Latin American food. It is housed in a building architecturally styled as a 150-old Peruvian hacienda.(RC) El Serrano

Fenz Restaurant & Late Night, 398 Harrisburg Avenue, Lancaster. Phone: 735-6999. Bistro-style varied menu in a 19th century factory. Fenz Restaurant & Late Night

Gibraltar, 931 Harrisburg Avenue, Lancaster. Phone: 397-2790. Listed in the 2005 Zagat Guide as scoring 28 of 30, and the comment, "Wow!"; also other awards. Specializing in seafood in the Mediterranean style.(RC) Gibraltar

Haydn Zug's Restaurant, 1987 State Street, East Petersburg. Phone: 569-5746. Classic American cuisine in a colonial atmosphere.(RC) Haydn Zug's Restaurant

John J. Jeffries, 300 Harrisburg Avenue, Lancaster. Phone: 431-3307. Very varied menu; "local farm-to-the-table sustainable cuisine", organic. John J. Jeffries

Olde Greenfield Inn, 595 Greenfield Road, Lancaster. Phone: 715-0039. Varied menu in a 1790 farmhouse. Zagat rated "excellent". Olde Greenfield Inn

Restaurant Mazzi, 38 Deborah Drive, Leola (in The Inn at Leola Village). Phone: 656-7002. Varied menu with Italian overtones. The only Lancaster County restaurant rated four diamonds by AAA; other awards. Restaurant Mazzi

The Loft, 201 W. Orange Street, Lancaster. Phone: 299-0661. Varied menu with a "home-away-from-home" atmosphere. The Loft
